Voice actress and artist Sumire Uesaka has unveiled her 9th single “POP TEAM EPIC” on Youtube for fans to listen. The single is set for release on January 31 2018.
“POP TEAM EPIC” is the opening theme song for the TV anime series of the same name, POP TEAM EPIC, which began airing in January 2018.
This video, which lasts over 7 minutes, features Uesaka surrounded by the characters Popuko and Pipimi as she expresses her joy over the song’s release and introduces it to the viewers.
Apart from the main song “POP TEAM EPIC”, you can also listen to “Zoushoku Batou Shoujo no Guren” by SCREEN mode member Masamoto Ota and “Midnight♡Ojousama” written by Uesaka herself.
The short version of the “POP TEAM EPIC” music video is also already up on YouTube.
Riding the beat of techno sound and dancing amidst laser beams, a sailor uniform-clad Uesaka is seen being chased by police and joined by hamsters and old men as a raging story unfolds.
The full music video and the making-of footage is included in the limited first edition DVD.
Aside from the limited first addition, the limited anime edition features a striking illustration of Popuko on the cover.
