Idoling!!!’s Mai Endo’s Solo Debut Song Produced By Yusuke Koide of Base Ball Bear

An idol group Idoling!!!’s leader, Mai Endo, will make a solo debut on her birthday, July 31st, 2013. With her ability to play the piano which she has been involved in since childhood and her skill as a singer, said to be the best in the industry, she’s focusing on rock, one of her favorite genres, and particularly on “Piano Pop Rock”.
And lo and behold, the song is produced by Base Ball Bear’s Yusuke Koide, known for his profound knowledge in the idol world!! The lyrics were co-written by Koide and a copywriter Mitsuru Arashida, and the title is “Today is The Day”. In advance of the release on July 31st, a part of the song was revealed attached to a game play clip of AeriaGames’ online fantasy RPG “Dragon’s Prophet”, for which the song has already been chosen as the image song.
As the concept “Piano Pop Rock” says, the song is is a perfect solo debut single with piano and strings arrangement built around Koide’s unique band sound.
Also, the song “Lily”, only included in the First Press Limited Edition, is a piano-arrangement cover of a song by Monkey Majik, a senior artist on the same label. It appears that the piano performance in the recording was performed by Endo herself. The footage of the recording process will also be included in the CD/DVD.
