Idoling!!!’s 14th Live Will be Ami Kikuchi’s Last! Graduation Announced!

Idoling!!! took the stage for the final time at Tokyo Idol Festival 2014 with a “Shout” but ended up leaving in tears as second generation member Ami Kikuchi (#16) announced her intentions to graduate at Idoling!!!’s 14th concert on November 24th.

After the fourth song of the performance “Summer Lion”, Fuji TV announcer Sayaka Morimoto known for co-hosting the Idoling!!! television program with comedian Bakarhythm, made a surprise appearance on stage. While the first announcement, of Idoling!!!’s 14th live concert to be held at NHK Hall on November 24th was a happy one, the smiles quickly vanished as soon as it was revealed that Kikuchi would be graduating at that event. Members including Serina Nagano (#13) and Ruka Hashimoto (#33) were visibly crying during the announcement and the final song “Shine On” as this information had been kept secret up until then.

A tearful Kikuchi remarked that “I had said that I wanted to become a ‘tarento’ that could be active in the variety show genre and those feelings have not changed even now. During these 6 years of being in Idoling!!! I learned many things and from now on I will be moving on to a new stage.”
