On March 27, Entertainment Collaboration Cafe AREA-Q opened in Q Plaza HARAJUKU located in the Omotesando Harajuku area. They welcomed Nogizaka46 as the guest and held an opening event.

AREA-Q is a collaboration cafe that works around the theme of entertainment such as music, movies, anime, and games. They have exhibitions with premium video screenings, costumes, and rare items, collaboration food, and merch. Nogizaka46 Cafe 2015 ~Inochi ha Utsukushii~” is the memorable first collaboration with this cafe, and the members made an appearance for the opening event.

The members who made an appearance were Reika Sakurai, Mai Shinuchi, Nanase Nishino, Minami Hoshino, and Yumi Wakatsuki. Cafe manager Mai Shinuchi commented on how the menu for this cafe has even more of a Nogizaka46 theme than their Nogizaka46 cafe in Marunochi during autumn of last year. All of the members answered a survey, and they thoroughly took in the members’ favorite food and drinks.

Yumi Wakatsuki was in charge of designing the t-shirts, tote bags, and mug cups. In contrast to the food, she said the Nogizaka46-ness is toned down on the merch. Nogizaka46 merch usually consists of items to use during concerts and may be a little difficult to use everyday, so the cafe goods are decorated with a barcode-like logo and made easier to use in everyday life.

Aside from the menu and merchandise, there are special videos playing that can’t be seen anywhere else but the cafe, messages by the members on panels, and everything and anything is Nogizaka46! Minami Hoshino made a request to cafe manager Mai Shinuchi to work over the counter during the press conference. Mai gave her the okay, so there may even be a chance you can meet Minami at the cafe?!

Nogizaka46 collabo cafe opens for a limited time until May 10th, 2015. It is run by time specific reservations, so guests are asked to pick one menu from the two available, and will receive the merchandise regardless. Because it is run by time specific reservations, guests will not have to line up to enter the cafe. Let’s make a reservation in advance and have fun at the Nogizaka46 cafe!
