To all our female readers out there! When you were a young child, you surely played dress-ups with dolls at least once right? There are many different types of dolls in the world, but in Japan, the most reputable one would have to be “Licca”. Licca was created back in 1967. She has changed over the years, with first, second, third, fourth and present day editions of her having been released, and has been the doll that is most familiar to many young Japanese girls. Licca was, and continues to be loved by so many.
At Licccacastle Small Shop Tokyo in Nihonbashi, you can enjoy coordinating Licca’s clothes, shoes and accessories.
It goes without saying that the shop is a boutique dedicated to Licca. This shop is focused on being “a doll shop for adults”. Inside the shop, you can also buy Licca dolls themselves. There are even girls that bring the Licca dolls that they used to play with as children to the store to play dress-up using some of the clothes there.
Check out this overwhelming line-up! There are even kimono, yukata, hair pins, combs, hats, umbrellas and more.

There are also Licca that are fully coordinated with clothes and accessories that are available for purchase at the store on display too. Aren’t they all so stylish?!
On this visit, our girls Kumiko Funayama, Ai Matsumoto, and Hikari Shiina all picked out clothes that they liked and had a go at dressing up some Licca dolls! The girls choose their their dolls’ outfits carefully. They practically looked like stylists!
