Ehime metal idol duo FRUITPOCHETTE have released the MV for “Ijin -CleverDick-” from their first full album “The Crest of Evil” (release date: February 25).
Continuing with the naming conventions of songs from their first mini-album “Shippu Jinrai” (translates to “lightning speed”), all the song titles have a mix of Japanese and English words which are seemingly unconnected. “Ijin” translates to “great man” so it may or may not be the same thing as a “clever dick” depending on who you ask. Unusual song names aside, it chugs along like a freight train crossing through the valley of heavy metal on the border of pop music. Perhaps the only criticism of the video would be that it’s quite dark and there are more clear shots of the backing band than Shiori Azuma and Mina Teratani!
