It’s a Goldfish Party in the MV for “Kingyo no Kin-chan” by FES☆TIVE!

FES☆TIVE make a big splash in the MV for “Kingyo no Kin-chan” (release date: November 25) where they costar with 3,000 goldfish!
The MV combines a cute and playful performance spilling over with fish-like dance moves and sexy images of the members playing courtesans (oiran) that may leave you gasping for breath. Goldfish scooping (kingyo sukui) is a staple of Japanese festivals but it’s doubtful that you’ll find such high class fish at your local temple. Some of the visuals look a lot like those in Mika Ninagawa’s 2007 film Sakuran which starred Anna Tsuchiya, which is probably what the director was going for.
Released a few days earlier was a 30 second long TV commercial. It’s probably shown late at night after all the young fish have gone to sleep.
“Kingyo no Kin-chan” will include two other songs titled “Yume Hanabi” and “WASSHOINTHEWORLD”.
