On May 6th 2014 Dempagumi.inc achieved their goal that they formed last year : a concert at one of Japan’s most famous concert venues, Nippon Budokan . Fans of the archipelago came to celebrate this event in person, and the group organized a bus tour in different cities in Japan to allow a maximum of people to come. The initiative has certainly helped, and tickets sold out almost an entire month before the concert.
Even though the concert was planned to take place late in the afternoon, some fans were already present starting at 4 am to buy exclusive goodies: limited edition t-shirts designed by Ai Madonna, who had previously signed a series of t-shirts , as well as the costumes of the group for the release of Kira Kira Tune . Dempagumi.inc is closely linked to Dear Stage (an Akihabara livehouse just in front of Don Quixote Akihabara and known for hosting AKB48 ) so before the concert, the DJ fires the room up with a Dear Stage like set: anime songs, j-pop … At the same time, the Dear Girls are selling glowsticks at the venue. Before the concert begins, the audience make sure to cheer on the Dear Girls who, perhaps, one day too will share the same stage. So the concert starts with the new title Dear ☆ Stage e Yōkoso. The song begins with a long monologue before the girls arrive on stage wearing their Dear Stage waitress uniforms. They then performs the songs from their first album.
After that, they begin to perform the second part of the concert, which consists of songs from their second album WORLD WIDE DEMPAGUMI . The rhythm rises rapidly before falling calmly with one of their songs, Nottobotchi · · · natsu.
Intermission approaches, and the girls leave the stage. A big TV screen in front of us shows a camera that allows us to follow along with them backstage. This staging is used to introduce new solo songs by each member of the group from the single Sakura Apprehension . In these songs, the world, both visually and musically, of each girl member is highlighted: the exuberant j-pop song of Naruse Eimi , a bit of electro with TEMPURA KIDZ Yumemi Nemu, a song with instrumental accompaniment for Furukawa Mirin , a song adapted to dance cover to Fujisaki Ayane , and quite a song from Mogami Moga , and a title worthy of the greatest songs Anisong with Aizawa Risa.
The concert continues with a cover of another group which unfortunately separates soon BiS with IDOL . Then follows WWD II , where BiS also makes an appearance in the clip. Not by chance, BiS played the same day as the resumption of Den den passion . As for the first part of the concert, calm returns gradually before returning with songs like Future Diver or Chururi Churu read , the promotional song for the brand of instant noodles NISSIN (the title single version released in late July at the same time as the DVD of the concert, the song is already available for download on iTunes).
Then comes one of the most moving moments of this concert, ORANGE Rium . The room lights up when a twilight color. You should know first, that the majority of “songs idols” are accompanied by cheering chants from fans called kakegoe or mix and, secondly, at concerts, song lyrics are projected on screens to allow everyone to follow along. So, in this way, ORANGE Rium , and the mix moves and cheering of fans was also projected on the screen to recreate the atmosphere that can be found at Dear Stage (as well as the various mix movements being pasted on the walls of the room). After this emotional moment, the concert began to wind down and the last booster group ends Sakura Apprehension . Petals with the girls’ message fall down and into the audiencec. Then Dempagumi.inc take their bow for the first concert at Budokan and leave the stage.
Despite the size of the room and the means used for this concert, the group was able to recreate the warm and friendly atmosphere that characterizes it, proving that even with their growing popularity, the members have kept in touch with their fans from the very beginning.
