Details of Chu-Z’s “Bombastic!” 1st Major Single Announced!

Today Chu-Z revealed a first look at the visuals and track list for their 1st major label single on Colombia Music Japan, “Bombastic!” which will be released on October 10th. Using the same projection mapping technology, which animates the renovated Tokyo Station at night, the logo of Chu-Z has been projected onto the 6 members wearing white one-piece dresses while standing in front of a white background.
The title “Bombastic!” refers to a type of giant cyalume familiar to many idol fans called the “Rumiton” which will likely play an important part in the choreography of Kouji Ide set to this EDM-inspired tune. The music video for “Bombastic!” was filmed at the nightclub ELE TOKYO located in the trendy neighborhood of Azabu-Juban, which some might know from when Lady Gaga went to the artRAVE after party the last time she was in Tokyo earlier this August.
The coupling song, “Direct to U” was written by Yuuki Odagiri, who was responsible for Chu-Z’s representative songs “Choose My Life” and “GIRLS ON THE RUN”. There will be three types of the single on sale and all three will include these two songs. Type-A will include instrumental versions of “Bombastic!” and “Direct to U” as well as a DVD with the music video for “Bombastic!” Type-B will feature a conventional idol-style song “Onegai Squall” sung by the sub-unit Shun-Chu♡ (Asuka, KANA, and Miku). Type-C includes the ambient hip-hop styled track “iya iya iya” sung by the sub-unit Bling Bling Princess (Maia, LUNA, and KAEDE). The lyrics of “iya iya iya” were written by Kanata Nakamura, who was responsible for the Japanese lyrics of Shojo Jidai’s mega hit “Gee”.
Chu-Z will also be having a solo concert “Chu-Z My Live 2014 ~Chu-Z Train Shinagawa Stellar Ball ni Teisha” on October 5th at Shingawa Stellar Ball so don’t miss it!
