J-POP SUMMIT FESTIVAL 2014, North California’s largest Japanese pop culture street festival, took place on July 19th and 20th in San Francisco.
Last year, this event brought in 80,000 people, and this year the number is estimated to have been even more!
It has been announced for the first time that Akira will release her debut song, ‘Aoi tsuki michite’, as well as ‘CHECK MATE’ and ‘RallenAngel’ on July 30th!
‘Aoi tsuki michite’ is the ending song of Kuroshitsuji Book of Circus, or the sequel to the extremely popular anime Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler). As not only a singer, but also a model of KERA magazine, the venue was fully pumped to come to AKIRA’s concert!
As soon as she stopped singing, Akira expressed how excited she was too, by saying, “This is the best! The excitement in this venue just doesn’t die out. It was my first time singing this song live, but I was really able to have fun!”
