Sword Action-Packed Music Video “Akatsuki No Ito” Released From Wagakki Band! Don’t Miss Their New Album Too!

Wagakki Band, the band who has successfully creating the new possibility of rock music with traditional Japanese musical instruments, have released their new music video, “Akatsuki No Ito,” their new track which will be included in their new album, “Yasou emaki,” being released on September 2 (Wed), 2015. The new album will be in three types; Type A includes Music Videos (DVD or Blu-Ray), Type B includes Live Performance Videos (DVD or Blu-Ray), and Type C will be the CD album.
This music video’s main theme is “Katana Danshi (Sword Guys),” the idea inspired from the guitarist the band, Machiya, who is himself is also the fan and collector of metal-fake Japanese swords and learning lessons of sword battle. As the boom of Katana-Joshi (Women who are fans of Japanese swords) are still in heat, the types of swords that the members use in the video are historically significant names like “Urashima Kotetsu” and “Kashuu Kiyomitsu” which Katana girls could also look in to.
And their own musical concept, “the miraculous fusion of rock band and traditional performing arts,” is perfectly expressed in their new video, not only with their powerful performance, also with the sky-souring dragon and the beautiful Japanese palace in sky, which are shot by the latest SFX technology, and the male members’ sword action performance, all created in to the dense, Japanese action experience which could only be expressed by this unique, Wagakki Band.
What is “Wagakki Band”?

The band’s main concept is the fusion of Shigin (traditional Chinese musical chant), Japanese traditional musical instruments, and rock music, creating it as the “new sensational rock entertainment.” They debuted to a major label in April 2014 with their first album, “Volcaloid Zanmai,” the songs that they have covered popular Volcaloid songs from Nico Nico Douga. Their music video of the cover of “Senbon-zakura,” has reached to 20 million views on Youtube, which has achieved more recognition from the Nico Nico Douga viewers and Volcaloid fans. The band has tied-up with popular game series “Sengoku Musou,” as well as making appearances at rock festivals, which became successful in expanding their fans as well. The band has also announced their Budokan concert on January 6th (Wed), 2016, as the New Years Party.
