palet’s 4th Single “SNOW DISTANCE” Will be a Heartbreaking Love Song
Having shown off their previously unseen cool and mature side with “VICTORY”, palet will be taking on a love song for their 4th single “SNOW DISTANCE” (release date: December 10, 2014).
On October 11, 2014 at “palet ~New Winter Single Presentation Event~” held in Yoyogi labo, palet revealed the details of their 4th single “SNOW DISTANCE” which is scheduled to be released on December 10th. Having ranked in the Oricon top 10 ever since their major debut last November, palet seems to be on the rise and gaining momentum with the addition of seventh member Yumi Nakano in June.
Hiromasa Ijichi, the composer of “SNOW DISTANCE” (he also wrote “VICTORY”), had this comment about the song: “The feeling of distance is like the relentless, freezing snow. No matter how many layers I put on, if it’s not you, my heart won’t be warmed. It’s like ‘because I love you, because I want to meet you’ that DISTANCE between wanting and having is so cold. Whether it’s just one person or many young girls (who know that painful feeling), I really want people to hear it.”
“SNOW DISTANCE” will be released in 5 different versions and the first press editions will come with 1 of 18 randomly selected trading cards and a ticket for a special event.
After the uplifting message of “VICTORY” what kind of hearbreaking winter love song can we expect from palet? It seems as if they will keep us guessing as to what they will do next. At the very least, we know that palet will be closing out 2014 with a solo concert at Shinjuku ReNY on December 28th. Don’t miss it!
