ANGERME Makes a Visit to South Korea Before Upcoming Concert

On June 6 and 7 2018, ANGERME‘s Ayaka Wada, Rina Katsuta and Rikako Sasaki visited South Korea as part of the promotion for their “ANGERME Oversea Live Tour”.

During interviews with the local press the girls talked enthusiastically about their upcoming Korea performance with a declaration from Sasaki: “I’m studying now so that I can deliver a perfect self introduction in Korean! I’ll use my strong power to seize everyone’s hearts before I return!”

“The performance level of Korean idols are so high that a part of me is worried about how ours will compare,” said Katsuta. “But I also have confidence in us so I’m looking very forward to it.”

Lastly, leader Wada gave her comment: “I admire how beautiful and sexy Korean idols are. I personally like that, so I mean it in a good way when I saw I want to ignore the differences and have everyone see and feel ANGERME as we are. One day I also hope to appear on a music program in Korea!”

The three members also met with the representative of a non-official fan club. Founded in 2004, the fan club comprises around 10,000 members and facilitates exchanges between the fans while delivering news and information. The members revealed that “there is so much anticipation for ANGERME’s Korea performance that the fans are fighting for tickets” and “there are even many female fans who are showing lots of support on social media in Korea”. Hearing these comments, the members’ will towards their Asia tour became even stronger.

The three members were also present at fashion brand METROCITY’s 2018 Fall/Winter & 2019 Spring/Summer Collection held in Seoul on June 7.

Regarding the Asia tour, Wada expressed her anticipation and ardor: “It’s our first time, so I’m excited to see how the fans here will welcome us! I want to charm them with the best possible performance.”

ANGERME successfully finished a concert in Paris, France on June 3 2018. Following that, they will hold performances in South Korea on June 29, Hong Kong on June 30 and Taiwan on July 1 as part of their Asia tour.
