This is the 6th tournament, and the member who wins this tournament will release their solo single, and those who win the 2nd to 16th place will appear in the single and MV of the coupling song of the winner’s single. The Janken Tournament has been held at Nippon Budoukan since the first holding, but this time it will be held at a larger venue, Yokohama Arena, for the first time.

This will be the last Janken Tournament for Minami Takahashi, the general manager of AKB48, and she commented, “I hope I can enjoy the event since this will be my last Janken Tournament. I have decided my costume already so please look forward for it!” It seemed like she was ready to enjoy her last tournament with her fans!

In addition, Mayumi Uchida, the first queen of the Janken Tournament, has announced on August 7, 2015, about her graduation from AKB48 and declared that she will not participate in the Janken Tournament on September. Joining AKB48 in 2007 as a 5th generation kennkyuusei, she has spent more than 7 years as a member of the group. Uchida commented on her graduation, “Being in AKB48 for seven and a half years, I have learned countless things. And now, I want to learn more from the world outside. I have so many good memories and some sad feelings, but I would like to work hard on my entertainment business while running my yakiniku restaurant after graduation”.

Also, Haruka Shimazaki (Team A) and Asuka Kuramochi (Team K) have also announced that they will quit their participation in the Janken Tournament, since Shimazaki has an asthma and Kuramochi did not participate in the matching of the tournament.

In the final tournament, we will be able to see the showdown between Yuki Kashiwagi and Tomu Mutou who are both the general elected members of AKB48, between Miru Shiroma and Nagisa Shibuya who are members holding an official position in both AKB48 and NMB48, and between Haruna Kojima and Mako Kojima who both have the same last names.

Now, which member will the goddess of victory smile on?
