Making a Monster: A Look into the Studio of Heavy-Hitting School Girls’ Band 5572320 During Practice

Do you remember the mysterious skilled girls’ rock band 5572320 (read: go go nana ni san ni rei) we introduced a week ago which has been creating a buzz on interenet?

They have appeared out of nowhere to reveal the MV for “Hanseiki Yuutousei” (Half a Century Honor Student), and this time the making video for the song has released.

Compared to the MV, their faces are more revealed in this making video. Some people are convinced that this is Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku hiding their faces in the MV, and it seems that they are feeling more confident of in the new video. As you can see in the video the members were beginners with rock band instruments, but it has became clear the girls are actually playing the instruments after practicing hard (probably).

If you watch the video until the end, you’ll realize that mysterious numbers in Kanji show up in the screen. (Top row, from left to right : 12, 9, 22, 5. Bottom row, from left to right : 25, 1, 18, 9, 20, 1, 9) It’s not their group name and totally doesn’t make sense. It must be some coded message. Some comments on the video seems to be convinced that this is code for surprise concert if you correspond the numbers to alphabetical order. (12=L, 9=I, 22=V, 5=E, 25=Y, 1=A, 18=R, 9=I, 20=T, 1=A, 9=I). Then “LIVE YARITAI” means “We want to do live performance”. Does it means they’ll have surprise street performance or something?

They will debut on March 20th, and release the first single “Hanseiki Yuutousei” on 25th. Additional information will be announced on 20th, so let’s wait for it expectantly!
