This year’s “Gelar Jepang” festival at Jakarta’s University of Indonesia is in for a special treat. Japanese singer Yun*chi will not only be having a concert on August 24, but she also made an Indonesian language version of her song “Waon*” specifically for the event. Pay attention to the hook of the song where the lyrics have been translated into Indonesian. Yun*chi is looking forward to singing along with everyone this Sunday so check out the video right away!
Yun*chi was invited to perform by the university students and there will be a J-Music LAB booth at Gelar Jepang to provide attendees with more information about Japanese artists.
“Waon*” is the coupling song for Yun*chi’s first single “Your song*” which was released last November and was the result of a collaboration with international J-pop cover group IroKokoro Project. Members of the group sent in their favorite Japanese words and Yun*chi wrote lyrics using them.
