Team Syachihoko has unveiled the MV for “Chérie!” (release date: April 7) and it is overflowing with contents that will have you watching it over and over again!
In the MV for “Chérie!” Team Syachihoko return to Harajuku and instead of the computer generated madness of “Tensai Bakabon”, the members show off all the different looks of Tokyo’s epicenter of youth culture as well as seifuku. Unfortunately, Yuzu Ando is not present as she is still on hiatus from the group due to her ongoing battle with vertigo. The music and lyrics are by SAKRA with arrangement by CMJK (ex-Denki Groove). Embedded in the MV are about 100 QR codes which direct to additional contents like behind the scenes footage and popular boutiques in Harajuku. We cannot be completely sure if we were able to take screenshots for every QR code in the MV, here are almost 200 for you to check out!
“Chérie!” will be released in 3 limited editions (Type-A, Type-B, Type-C) and 1 regular version. The coupling song for Type-A is “Kemono no Hanamichi”. The coupling song for Type-C and the regular version is “Wow Oh! Oh!”. The coupling song for Type-B is “Rarirariho (Habanero Posse Remix)”. The Blu-ray for Type-C includes live footage of “BASYAUMA ROCK”, “Akamiso BLOOD”, and “Notteke Mensoore” from February 14th’s Shojo Matsuri 2016 at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo.
In celebration of their 5th year, starting on May 21st, Team Syachihoko will be kicking off a live tour titled Rojou Debut 5-Nen-me 5-Kouen 5-Man-nin Douin! O-baki Live Keikaku “VICTORY YEAR” Road to Kasadera”. Starting with 2 days at Makuhari Messe, they will also perform at Nippon Budokan and Yokhama Arena before returning to their home prefecture of Aichi to finish the tour at Nippon Gaishi Hall on March 21, 2017.
