SUPER☆GIRLS gears up for New Chapter, announces Graduation and Join

Avex idol group, SUPER☆GIRLS held the concert “SUPER☆GIRLS LIVE 2014 ~Chouzetsu Kakumei at Pacifico Yokohama National Hall~“, on February 23, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Pref.

The leader Saori Yasaka graduated from the group with the concert. She tearfully said goodbye to 5,000 fans gathered at the venue. “With a feeling of gratitude, now I thank all of you who have supported me and my dream. Thank you so much!”

Saori Yasaka will pursue a career in musical actress which is her long-held dream.

She greeted, “I’d been a SUPER☆GIRL for 3 years and 8 months. I have walked the long road in my own way. My fans, and SUPER☆GIRLS taught me to move forward no matter what happens. I’ll be proud of you until the day I die! I will stand on the stage of my dream for sure! Thank you very much!”

Besides, Yasaka nominated the sub leader Rika Shimura as the new leader, while Yasaka was giving Shimura a final hug, “Good luck, I’m counting on you!”

At the same time, SUPER☆GIRLS welcomed the join of new members, Rina Asakawa, Risa Uchimura, and Koume Watanabe.
Watanabe had graduated from Party Rockets in December, last year. As the best person to fit the theme of the SUPER☆GIRLS’ 2nd chapter “Revolution”, her ex group kindly agreed her move to SUPER☆GIRLS.

Watanabe, who surprisingly appeared on the stage for an encore, spoke the enthusiasm, “I’ll do my best in my own way!” She also sang the new song “Hanamichi!! Ammmbitious” to be released on May 14, with the members.

12 SUPER☆GIRLS will be back in action under the new leader Rika Shimizu. It was also announced that “Chouzetsu Color” which has been set up for each member, will be refreshed completely.
