SUPER☆GiRLS participated in Honolulu Half Marathon Hapalua 2014 held on April 14 (HST).
Splendidly, all the 12 members fully ran 21.0975 kilometers!
SUPER☆GiRLS served as the cheer group for the marathon event, and this was the first time to take on half marathon for the members.
Just Before the start, Rika Shimura (a leader of the group) made a speech in English. She encouraged the participants saying “Run the whole distance with smile!”
Despite initial misgivings, every member finished running the marathon with smile.
Furthermore, Ruka Mizote finished in 2 hours 5 minutes 24 seconds, and won the 1st place in 15-19
A member Ruka Mizote finished the race in 2 hours, 5 minutes and 24 seconds and won the first place within the female age-group 15-19, followed by Reira Arai who came in the second place in the same age-group, which was a remarkable accomplishment by both.
Furthermore, this time a fan tour was also arranged, and on the day before the half marathon, a mini live show and a coupe photo shoot session were held at the party to celebrate the eve of the race.
Participated fans also joined the half marathon with members and raced toward the finish line by cheering up and encouraging each other. A participated fan stated “I really enjoyed running a marathon with members by helping each other along. I also got to hear inside stories of SUPER☆GiRLS.” and seemed to be very pleased.
SUPER☆GiRLS started their second chapter with adding new members on February 23.
12 members rushed through 21.0975km (approximately 13.11miles) together. It must have further strengthened bonds among the group for sure.
