Perfume to sing the theme song for new ‘Doraemon’ movie

It’s been revealed that Perfume’s new song, “Mirai no Museum“, has been picked up as the theme song for the upcoming ‘Doraemon‘ film, ‘Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Himitsu Dougu Museum‘.
This was announced on November 24th at the final performance of Perfume’s Asia tour, ‘Perfume WORLD TOUR 1st‘, in Singapore. During the encore, the girls took the stage together with Doraemon and announced this news to their fans.
“Mirai no Museum” is a pop tune that was written especially for the movie, and it expresses the magical worldview of ‘Doraemon’ with a transparent melody. Perfume will release this song next spring as their first single of 2013.
The new ‘Doraemon’ movie takes place in a secret gadget museum, a museum that exhibits all of the secret gadgets in the world. Doraemon, Nobita, and their friends search for the mysterious thief that stole Doraemon’s important bell. It’s directed by Teramoto Yukiyo and it’s scheduled to open in theaters on March 9, 2013.
