Former members of SDN48 debuted as a new unit, “7cm”

7 former members of SDN48 announced a new group formation at their live event “STARTING OVER” held at Shibuya Club Asia on May 4th.
Ito Mana, Imayoshi Megumi, Umeda Haruka, Kaida Juri, Kato Mami, KONAN, Hosoda Miu are restarting as 7 girls group named “7cm.”
SDN48 was created as a sister group of AKB48, the group was based on an “adult idol” concept.
The group ended with a farewell concert on March 31, 2012.
During the reboot event, KONAN declared, “I want to stand to that stage (NHK Hall) again with this 7 members! Would you be along with us?”
The unit name “7cm” was named after an average heel height of working women, and it was given meanings like below.
To be a lovely woman wearing high heels cool.
To be a group that is adored from men as well as women.
To grow up steadily on step by step.
The group’s concept is “futile struggle of the last of 20s.” Stay tuned to their future activities!
