Dance rock group Q’ulle, which is made up of former members from the popular Niconico DANCEROID group, released the MV for their second single “MONSTER” (release date: March 18).

Contributor Wanted!!

Rising like the undead at the beginning of the video as the drums and guitar start the song, Q’ulle comes to life as soon as the bass comes in. The video focuses on the members singing and dancing in a dark room accented with bright lights around them as the backing band lurks in the shadows, looking like characters from the anime/manga Tokyo Ghoul with their leather masks. There are also scenes of the members in a home, looking like they’re watching for some unseen being or dealing with their inner demons. At the end of the video, Manako pops back onto the screen with her right pupil glowing red. Expect there to be an “odottemita” (literally “I tried to dance”, a popular term used on Nico Nico for videos featuring dance performances) version on their YouTube channel very soon!

Compared to their 1st single, “mic check one two” (release date: January 14) which had a lighter theme as they were wearing all white dance outfits, “MONSTER” has the members of Q’ulle dressed in black and performing to harder, darker music. “MONSTER” will be released in two types: a Deluxe version and a regular version. The Deluxe version includes a DVD with music videos for “MONSTER” (PV & “odottemita” versions) and the coupling track “ONI” as well as a 30 minute “documentary of Q’ulle” which shows the recording and dance lessons for the second single and release events for their 1st single “mic check one two”, a randomly selected postcard featuring one of the members of Q’ulle, and an official Q’ulle cheki holder. Also releasing on March 18th is their DVD “1st One Man「mic check one two!」LIVE” which has a recording of their performance from December 29, 2014 at Harajuku Astro Hall. Starting on the release date, those who purchase the CD and/or DVD at Chara-Ani, Tower Records, HMV, or Village Vanguard will receive extra Q’ulle goods which include postcards, bromides, and stickers handmade by the members.
