Make-up artist: What colour of eyeshadow would you like?

Haruka: Which colour is most popular with customers?

Make-up artist: Many people choose red. To look cute, we recommend pink, and for a sexy look, purple. Some people choose contrasting colours like green or blue, as well.

Haruka: Hmm, I’m not sure which to pick, red or pink…?

Make-up artist: You can have two colours, if you like. Shall we go with red and pink?

Haruka: Yes, please!

Here’s the finished makeup look!

Next, it’s time to choose the kimono to be worn under the uchikake.

Now it’s time for the photoshoot! Haruka heads to the photography studio on the second floor.

There are three different photography sets, and you can choose the one you’d like to use when making your reservation.

An assistant helps Haruka to put on the uchikake.

Haruka follows the photographer’s instructions as she takes her through a variety of different poses. It feels like a modeling shoot!

That’s a wrap!

Haruka: At first, I felt a bit nervous, but the photographer was really nice and helped me to relax, so I really enjoyed the photoshoot!

With the photoshoot over, Haruka removes her makeup and changes back into her own clothes. The dressing room is fully equipped with face wash, hair dryers, straighteners, and other essentials.

Back in the reception area, Haruka takes a look at her photoshoot stills and chooses the shots she wants to keep. They’ll be retouched and professionally printed before being delivered to her by post. How exciting!
