STARMARIE Promotes 5th Taiwan One-Man Live to President Tsai Ing-wen!

STARMARIE‘s 7th visit to Taiwan might have just won them a very important fan, newly elected president Tsai Ing-wen!
Tsai Ing-wen was a guest of honor at the FANCY FRONTIER Cosplay Convention at Taipei Expo Park where STARMARIE was performing on January 30th. The president was pleasantly surprised when Monya Nakane initiated a conversation with her in Chinese, remarking, “You’re an idol from Japan?”.
Promoting their March 20, 2016 return to Taiwan for their 5th one-man live at Taipei PIPE LIVE MUSIC, the members of STARMARIE gave President Tsai a copy of their single “Mekurumeku Yuuki!” (the ending theme of TV Tokyo’s anime, Card Fight!! Vanguard G) and took pictures with her as the local press documented the entire meeting. Images from this scene made it onto Taiwanese TV and even the president’s official Facebook page!
On the afternoon of January 30th, STARMARIE delighted in seeing the masses of fans that met them for their first performance of the trip at Taipei Expo Park. Later that evening and on the following day, STARMARIE joined singer Ai Shinozaki and legendary idol Noriko Sakai for lives at Jack’s Studio. STARMARIE’s next big live “Fantasy Circus ~ Phantom in Maboroshi City” will be at TSUTAYA O-EAST on February 19th.
