Risako Sugaya, former member of Berryz Kobo, announced her marriage and pregnancy via the Up-Front Promotion official site on October 18, 2017.
Her husband is described as an “ordinary man” in his 20s, meaning that he is not involved in the entertainment industry. Other news sources have reported that they met through a mutual friend earlier in 2017. The delivery date is predicted to be during the spring of 2018 and any details regarding her future activities will be announced in the near future as Risako will be taking a hiatus to devote herself to childcare.
