The cafe will be finally open tomorrow, on August 1st! We went to the cafe’s reception for the media before opening to the public.
Sebastian Masuda of this cafe’s producer and AMIAYA who appeared in their promotion video appeared in the opening ceremony. They are expecting the cafe becomes the new attractions of Harajuku and spot a lot of people gather, either Japan or abroad.
After the opening ceremony, “MONSTER GIRL” who work as the visual icon of the cafe is the first debut! They were chosen by the audition which supervisor is Sebastian Masuda. Five people each have a theme and their appearance along its theme express the concept of the cafe, “Beyond the KAWAII”. They are not only in this cafe, also plays the role of Harajuku’s new symbol.

Look behind the Monster Girls is the “SWEETS GO ROUND”, it can turn and its shape is a cake.
As surround the SWEETS GO ROUND, the cafe has 4 zones; MUSHROOM DISCO, MILK STAND, BAR Experiment and Mel-Tea ROOM.

You can choose your favorite zone at the entrance.
Each zones is just not Kawaii, but is packed with Sebastian Masuda’s playfulness. Sebastian Masuda said, “I wanted to express the weapon and virulence on the back of the Kawaii. It is a challenge to the common image of Kawaii.”
Not only the interior, foods are also a colorful. We cannot tell you how the taste is as we didn’t try them, but they say they improved the taste and confident with it!
You can purchase the limited goods as well.
There is no choice but to experience “new Tokyo that nobody has seen yet.”!
