Akishibu project Release MVs for “Eternal Blue ~Kimi to Boku to Sora to Umi~” and “Akishibu Way” From Their 1st Mini Album!

Akishibu project, the group that fuses the cultures of Akihabara and Shibuya together, have released MVs for “Eternal Blue ~Kimi to Boku to Sora to Umi~” and “Akishibu Way” from their 1st mini album “Midaregami Fighting Girl” (release date: April 14).
Since their formation in 2012 by former BiS member Rinahamu (Rina Yokoyama) Akishibu project had been steadily building their fan base by performing regularly at Twin Box Akihabara and at different “tai-ban” (featuring several groups/artists) events but had not released a CD. They finally announced that they would be releasing a CD at their sold out “one-man live” (solo concert) “Akishibu Way~Bokura ga Susumu Sekai ni Matteiru Mirai~” at TSUTAYA O-WEST on January 25, 2015 and that CD is “Midaregami Fighting Girl”.
In the MV for “Eternal Blue ~Kimi to Boku to Sora to Umi~”, the members of Akishibu project dance along the seashore and play around in a classroom. It was performed for the first time at their concert at TSUTAYA O-WEST.
In the MV for “Akishibu Way” scenes of the members walking through Akihabara and Shibuya alternate with their energetic performance to the fast-paced electronic dance rock song. As with “Eternal Blue ~Kimi to Boku to Sora to Umi~”, “Akishibu Way” feels like a bit of a throwback visually to early AKB48 MVs but, with so many idol groups currently active in Japan, one can’t really say that AKB48 has a monopoly on school uniforms right?
“Midaregami Fighting Girl” will be released in 3 different types featuring different cover photos by Yuki Aoyama, who has previously done the photography for Rino Sashihara, SCANDAL, HKT48, and French Kiss. In addition to releasing their 1st mini album, Akishibu project is gearing up for “Akishibu project 3rd One-Man LIVE [way to dream~Mirai no Sentaku~]” at Shinjuku BLAZE on May 30th. Their previous solo concert was sold out so, if you are thinking of going, you should get your tickets soon!
