Team Syachihoko revealed details about their upcoming 7th single “Shampoo Hat” which will be released on December 10, 2014.

The lyrics and music for “Shampoo Hat” have been written by fellow unBORDE label mate Enon Kawatani, who is known as the main songwriter and vocalist for the rock bands indigo la End and Gesu no Kiwami Otome. Although Kawatani has written songs for male artists like SMAP and Tomohisa Yamashita before, this will be his first time writing for a female artist. Kawatani explained that he wanted to write a song that would completely change the image of Team Syachihoko with “Shampoo Hat”. Arrangement will be handled by CMJK, who was responsible for “Owari no Hana”, the coupling song of “Ai no Chikyusai”, Syachihoko’s 5th single.

Promotion for “Shampoo Hat” will include free performances at Chiba’s Lalaport Kashiwanoha on November 23rd and at Osaka’s Senri SELCY on November 24th. On October 23rd studio footage from the recording of “Shampoo Hat” will be broadcast on BS Fuji TV’s “Team Syachihoko no Maji de Gachi Nan Desukedo~!” which airs from 11:55pm until 12:25am (JST).

Those who purchase the single will be eligible to win signed fishing flags (tairyoubata) or signed shampoo hats at their January 3rd solo concert “Syachihoko” at the Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium. The Limited Edition version of the single comes with a DVD featuring footage from Team Syachihoko’s appearance at “BOMBER E I Night Aki Matsuri” in September.

Based on what they have done up until now, expectations should be quite high for “Shampoo Hat”, particularly when the songwriter Enon Kawatani issued a bold declaration that the song “will completely change the image of Team Syachihoko”.
