Tokyo Girls Update is Putting On a Japanese Idol Concert Series Called “TGU CONNECT”!

Although the popularity of Japanese idols has grown worldwide, a large amount of people have only experienced idol performances through video.
世界的に日本のアイドルへの関心が高まっていますが「アイドルライブは映像でしか見たことが無い」という方が圧倒的に多い、というのが現状。
So first and foremost, Tokyo Girls Update would like you to experience the enthusiasm of idol culture first hand! To do this, we’ve launched a special live event geared towards foreigners, called TGU CONNECT.
やはりまずはライブを見て、アイドルカルチャーの熱狂を感じてもらいたい！そこでTokyo Girls Update特別イベントとして、外国人の方を対象に『TGU CONNECT』という企画を立ち上げました。
Up first is Cheeky Parade, the first Japanese artist ever to perform on the main stage at CBGB FESTIVAL, which took place in New York last month.
第一弾は、先月ニューヨークで開催された「CBGB FESTIVAL」のメインステージに日本人アーティストとして初出演を果たした『Cheeky Parade』が登場です！

On December 14 at Zepp Driver City (Tokyo), the group will give a “Cheeky Parade’s Triumphant Return from NY Party” live performance, and new or current members who have signed up with Tokyo Girls Update’s free registration are invited!
今回、12月14日にZepp DiverCity(TOKYO)にて開催される「Cheeky Parade NY凱旋集会」ライブに、Tokyo Girls Updateの新規・既存の無料会員の方をご招待します。
▼TGU CONNECT Requirements for Applicants
・Hold non-Japanese citizenship
・Be a new or current member signed up with Tokyo Girl’s Update free registration
・Be willing to cover any personal expenses related to attending, such as necessary transportation or accommodation expenses
・¥500 Drink charge is required.

・渡航費 / 宿泊費など自費負担の上、会場までお越し頂ける方
・ドリンク代500円が別途必要となります

On the day of the live event, please bring your passport or residence card (zairyu card) for verification.
Please be aware that in instances where personal identity cannot be verified, admission into the live house will be denied.
Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on December 12, 2014 (Friday).
On the day of the event, there will be two separate performances. Please select prefer performance to see.

☆The first performance’s theme is「CBGB Festival」 Can we recreate as much enthusiasm as CBGB Festival?!
For those that couldn’t go to New York, surely you can match the level of enthusiasm present there at THIS live concert?!
☆The second performance’s theme is「From 2014 → 2015」 This is the last one man performance of 2014!
Let’s make this last show of the year an INTENSE one! Both performances will be jam-packed! There’ll even be a talk! They’ll be loaded with a ton of great content!

PROFILE : Cheeky Parade
Cheeky Parade is an idol group consisting of 9 girls. They were formed on February 19th 2012 as the second artist from avex idol label, “iDOL Street.” The group name means “Cheeky=saucy, rambunctious” + “Parade=entertainment parade.”
Cheeky Parade debuted with their 1st single “BUNBUN NINE9’” on January 9th 2013. It ranked #4 on the Oricon weekly chart! The 2nd single “C.P.U !?,” released on April 10th, ranked #5 and the 3rd single “Mugendai Shoujo ∀” ranked #4. Their first three singles all reached the top 5 on the charts.
They pursue their own unique music and character in order to become an idol group like no other.
