Negicco

Negicco is a girls’ idol group performing mainly in Niigata. They were formed for the promotional campaign of Niigata’s specialty “Yawahada-negi” in July 2003.
“Negi” is the Japanese word for green onion, and with “cco” added, the group name refers to “a child of green onions”.
In 2011, they were the first to transfer to “T-Palette Records”, the record label dedicated to idol groups launched by Japan’s leading record shop chain “Tower Records”.
