#061 / From : Naoya Matayoshi (Japan)
I’m Naoya Matayoshi, and you might already guessed that I’m Japanese by name,
however consider me as a foreigner in the small island in Ryukyu (okinawa)
It was a pleasure to see a post like yours to shun some light on
the fan community group to express our love of BABYMETAL!
I will jump right in to answering your questions.
Would you like to tell us your thought on BABYMETAL?>
My taught in babymetal were no different from the all that agrees’s ‘nanjyakora’.
I remember it was a night in december of 2011, my day was just hard and I was disgusted with life.
So, I started looking through some funny video’s in youtube with the hope to find somethingthat can make me laugh and forget about the painful stuff. Then I encounter babymetal, I knew instantly that it was Suzuka Nakamoto, from Karen girls.I remember her from watching the anime around 4th or 5th grade. Suddenly, I came to realization how beautifully and compassionate she is/was pursing her dream and I’m in my room just trying to run away. There I felt a connection maybe because she’s about the same age as me and she’s doing her upmost best and I’m there doing nothing.
That just turned me to the world of BABYMETAL!. BABYMETAL really reflect supernatural power in their music and dance and everything, Just can’t tell what exactly is but it is indeed my turning point in life.
How deep your love for BABYMETAL is?>
I think babymetal is more than love, its really deeply associated with my life. I deleted all my anime song and normal song and I only have 10 songs in my phone from babymetal; listening to it at least hour a day, looping. It’s been 5 month since I started it so I assume I can go for another 5 month’s, easily. I also have done some research for my school about babymetal and cultural relation with Handle and some presentation about it. http://www.slideshare.net/naoyamatayoshi/babymetal-and-handel-culture-impact
What is your favorite song?>
My favorite song is Akatsuki, it just make me cry, I don’t know the reason but just makes me cry into tears with a burning heart. Just thinking and writing this about Akatsuki makes me cry. My tears are dropping on keyboard, and no exaggeration about it!
Have you ever seen their live performance? and How it was? >
To be honest, I never went to their concerts, yet. I’m student in Okinawa and do not have any money to go to their concerts so youtube, Facebook and other source are my only connection to it. From the live footage I feel the same heat deep inside as if I’m at the concert.
I’m very sorry that I’m not from other country as your purpose for the article might be,
however I’m so-called “half” with the mix of Okinawan blood and American so can consider as an American.
Thank you for adding value to express my love for BABYMETAL.
