Everything and the Kitchen Sink! NMB48’s Riho Kotani to Release 1st Photobook “Jaguchi”!

While it has been known that Riho Kotani from NMB48 would be releasing her 1st photobook “Jaguchi” (faucet) since August, it was finally revealed by Kotani via Twitter on September 3rd that it would be on sale September 15th, less than 2 weeks later!
“Jaguchi” will differ than many idol photobooks in that it will contrast scenes of “Ripopo” (Kotani’s nickname) in a cramped apartment and in the working class areas of Osaka with more conventional ones. Having grown up in a poor household before joining NMB48, it was decided that the concept of “poverty” would play a role in the photobook. Having initially expressed feelings of anxiety about the project, she eventually felt that it would be a chance for fans to know more about her as well as produce some interesting pictures.
Kotani was given the opportunity by ranking first in a popularity contest organized by the magazine BOMB and mobile chat app 755. Fellow NMB48 member Kei Jonishi is also releasing her 1st photobook “Shougai Jonishi Sengen” on September 26th.
