Winter is Coming! Negicco Films MV for “Hikari no Spur” in Finland & Meets Santa Claus!

Niigata idol trio Negicco are aiming for the Oricon top 10 with their upcoming single “Hikari no Spur” (release date: December 2, 2014) and went so far as to travel to Finland, considered the home of Santa Claus, to ask him for an early Christmas present and film the amazing music video for the winter song.
The music video is packed with scenes of winter in one of the northernmost countries in the world but will be sure to warm the hearts of Negicco fans wherever they may be. Watch as the members of Negicco play with reindeer, jump in and out of the Arctic Circle, relax by a warm fireplace, ride a sled, and meet Santa Claus!
“Hikari no Spur” was written and produced by connie, the producer who has been an ardent supporter of the group since their debut. Takao Tajima, vocalist and songwriter of the critically acclaimed Japanese band Original Love, who produced Negicco’s “Sunshine Nihonkai”, handled musical arrangement. The coupling song “1000% no Kataomoi” was also written by connie and musical arrangement was handled by Shiggy Jr., a 4-member band said to be the inheritors of the pop music scene known for their high-pitched vocalist Tomoko Ikeda. Kenshu Shintsubo, who previously directed the music video for “Sunshine Nihonkai”, handled the filming of the music video and the cover art photographs for “Hikari no Spur”.
“Hikari no Spur” will be released in Limited Edition Type-A, Limited Edition Type-B, and a regular edition as well as a 7” vinyl record. Limited Edition Type-A comes with a DVD with the music video for “Hikari no Spur”, a making of video, and a short film where president of T-Palette Records, Ikuo Minewaki is “punked” (dokkiri). Limited Edition Type-B comes with another CD which includes remixes of “Koi no EXPRESS TRAIN (ayu toki0 arrange version)” and “Soushisou Ai (Ara Koi remix)”.
