Namie Amuro’s popularity can’t be confined to just Japan. Her popularity spreads throughout Asia, and especially Taiwan. Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai have just released the music video for her new song “I’m Not Yours” featuring Japanese female singer Namie Amuro,  and it is too beautiful for words! They have been gaining attention through their comparison to the beautiful Diao Chan from Three Kingdoms and Dakki from Houshin Engi.

In the video, there is a magnificent castle decorated with red lanterns. Jolin and Namie are dressed in glamorous ancient Chinese outfits, singing and dancing. The view is mysterious and very beautiful and instantaneously you are hooked. The music video follows the story of foxes who are impersonating beautiful women. Just after 5 hours since the video was uploaded, it already hit one hundred thousand views, and now it has passed a week and hits 3 million views!

The lyrics are a mix of Chinese and English. When we thought Namie would only sing the English parts, we were surprised to hear that she also sang a bit in Chinese! Of course it is nice to see an artist perform outside of their home country, it would be so great to see an artist go past their country of citizenship to collaborate with overseas artists more often.
