Are there really nice guys that arrange surprising proposal like this?  This video we found will make you think you want to die before getting married because of happiness if this really happened to you. It’s really hard to watch. TOO JEALOUS, TOO HEARTWARMING. This type of thing can’t be true, and it’s hard to believe it’s anything but a fantasy. But while watching, if you’re girl you must kept thinking “I wish this could happen to me”. It will be easier to understand how the proposal is like by watching the video than my explanation text, so just watch!

In Japan, the closer you are female and get to 30 the growing desire to get married is like life or death. For example, my friends who are around 30 years old and living in the West aren’t as impatient about getting married. However everyone agreed, “Maybe if we lived in Japan, we’d be in a hurry to get married.” The average age Japanese women first marry is around 29.0 years of age (according to data in 2013 from the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry) which isn’t that early, and is on par with North America and Europe. But despite that, it seems very harsh for single women nearing thirty in Japan.

There’s something strange about services who call single women who are nearing their prime “ohitorisama joshi” (sounds like “single princesses”) out of politeness, and offer “solo weddings” where women, despite not having a partner, can take pictures by themselves wearing wedding dresses to get a taste of what a real wedding would feel like, or things like mental training books for women who can’t find a husband called Buratore! (an abbreviation of bridal training) for sale… There are too many too count. And if you criticize “They’re make fun of us unmarried women!!”, it might come off as sour grapes on my part to some. It’s hard to bear.

But do you think that’s okay that this is a part of Japanese society? These days a proposal is very valuable. Timo’s proposal to Mari-chan wasn’t just a surprise, it was a performance that went beyond imagination and human skills… And Mari-chan was really moved and crying, wasn’t she… I’ve watched this video so many times, and every time I feel so moved that it hurts. It’s like the previous trend, “Happy people can go blow up!” I’m doing my best every day, so I feel like I’m worthy of something like this happening to me.

I hope this video gets spread everywhere, and surprises like this become a thing! Am I right, guys?  If guys were to really give a wonderful proposal like this, there would be one less woman with troubled heart.
