Hot Summer Nights! lyrical school Shine a Light on the Retro MV for “Wonderground”!

lyrical school has revealed the MV for their summer single “Wonderground” (release date: July 21)!
Filmed at an amusement park at night, the members of lyrical school are clad in throwback sports jerseys, as is their habit during the summer months, and rapping their way through the darkness. The track is steeped in the sounds from the early days of hip-hop, accented by disco guitars and orchestral strings. Keeping with the retro theme, there are some visual effects added to make it feel as if you are watching the MV on a glitchy old television set.
“Wonderground” was composed and arranged by SUI and the lyrics were written by LITTLE (KICK THE CAN CREW, UL). The coupling song “Avec Summer” was composed and arranged by Donald Trample and the lyrics were written by Tatsuya Iwabuchi (lyrical school’s manager/DJ). “Wonderground” will be sold in a limited edition version with a DVD and a regular CD-only version. The DVD will feature footage from lyrical school’s release event for their album “SPOT” at Shibuya Sound Vision on April 18, 2015. Songs from that event included on the DVD are: “I.D.O.L.R.A.P”, “Rainbow Disco”, “brand new day”, “Yume de Aitai ne”, and “FRESH!!!”
The lyrical school tour 2015 “date spot” continues as they finish up with dates in Osaka, Nagoya, and Hokkaido before calling it a wrap at Zepp Diver City in Tokyo on July 25th, just a few days before Tokyo Idol Festival 2015 where they’ll be performing both days!
