“KANSAI COLLECTION 2014 S/S“, one of the biggest fashion show in Japan, took place at Kyocera Dome Osaka on March 16, 2014. Kyocera Dome is a baseball stadium located in Osaka, Japan. Live concerts of major artists such as AKB48 is also held.
But, on that day, the venue was filled with girls who loves fashion. The number of visitors on the day was around 30,000.
“KANSAI COLLECTION” is a culture event that advocates the theme, “From Osaka to the World.” Visitors enjoy not only fashion shows, but also live performances by special artists, or food stand that sell Okonomiyaki or Takoyaki which are Kansai Region’s famous foods. There are lots of hospitality unique to Kansai.
On the early part of the fashion show, former AKB48 Kenkyuusei Kaoru Mitsumune, and former SDN48 member Serina appeared on the runway.

Following the 2013 A/W collection, former AKB48 member Shinoda Mariko appeared on the runway wearing ricoli‘s clothes that is the brand she serves as a director.

Of course, other popular models also participated and added various colors to the fashion show.

There were also 2 stage that features Japanese Kimono! It was also a special experience to see Kimono models in runway of big fashion show.
Well, Japanese fashion trend is originated in the various regions, not only in Tokyo.
In particular, Kansai region is the old capital, so you may enjoy traditional atmosphere as well as trendy fashion in the region.
