High School of the Dead! Idol College Release the Cute Undead in the MV for “Be My☆Zombie”!

In most cases a zombie outbreak is shown as something desolate and full of despair but, Idol College makes the best of their situation in the MV for “Be My☆Zombie” (release date: October 7)!

The MV seems to have more in common with the cancelled British drama “In the Flesh” rather than the popular US series “The Walking Dead” as the zombie members of Idol College don’t act any different from the living ones, aside from seeming a little detached. Despite some discord arising due to their differences, everyone hugs it out in the end and no one ends up being eaten. The fact no one was bitten seems like a missed opportunity. At the very least, it might have been interesting to see what kind of bento a zombie schoolgirl would have, no?Because this is Idol College, there are are some impressive acrobatic skills on display. “Be My☆Zombie” might be the cutest song about the undead ever (not there are that many)! It might be easier to escape a horde of zombies than get that melody out of your head!

“Be My☆Zombie” is the opening theme song for the PS Vita game “Geki Jigen Tag Blanc + Neptune vs Zombie Gundan”. Here is the opening movie for the game featuring “Be My☆Zombie”.

“Be My☆Zombie” will be released in 4 versions, including a special “Geki Jigen Tag Blanc + Neptune vs Zombie Gundan” collaboration version with a DVD that includes the MV and making of for “Be My☆Zombie” as well as the opening animation of the game without the credits. The CD for that version includes all the coupling songs for the 3 regular versions. The coupling songs are: “Seigi no Kokoro〜Heiwa no tame ni〜” (Type-A), “BEFUNYOUANDQN (Team i version)” (Type-B), and “BEFUNYOUANDQN (Team c version)” (Type-C). “Seigi no Kokoro〜Heiwa no tame ni〜” is the ending theme song for “Shin★Kampai Senshi After V” a sentai comedy starring solo idol You Kikkawa. “BEFUNYOUANDQN (Team i version)” is the ending theme song for “Geki Jigen Tag Blanc + Neptune vs Zombie Gundan”.
