Awesome! LADY GAGA celebrates AKB48 Theater’s 8th Anniversary!

On December 8, AKB48 held “AKB48 Theater 8th Anniversary Special Commemorative Performance” at AKB48 Theater, where 86 member got together all at once.

In Akihabara, the first public performance at AKB48 theater took place on December 8, 2005. Since then, 8 years has passed.
To show gratitude to fans, AKB48’s all members held the performance in special set list for this big day. (Natsuki Uchiyama was absent for her studies)

In exchange for greetings, the concert kicked off with each team performing one song. This was followed by performances by generation (from 15 to 1). During the MC segments, the members shared their memories and episodes from the days of their debut. Among the performances was the 9th generation members’ version of Tentoumu Chu!‘s “Kimi Dake ni Chu! Chu! Chu!” arranged as “Kimi Dake ni 9! 9! 9!“. Additionally,Takahashi MinamiKojima Haruna, and Minegishi Minami sang a trio version of “Heart Ereki“.

Towards the end of the concert, there was a surprise message video by Lady Gaga. She congratulated the girls, saying, “Congratulations AKB48 on your 8th anniversary. Aishitemasu! (I love you!)

For the final song, all 86 members sang “Sakura no Hanabiratachi“. Then they expressed their gratitude toward their fans saying, “Thank you very much!
