Cupitron depart for the stars in the MV for “Ginga Tetsudo 999” (release date: May 25)!

Contributor Wanted!!

“Ginga Tetsudo 999” is a cover of the theme song from the classic anime (also known as Galaxy Express 999) of the same name by Leiji Matsumoto, who designed the outfits for Cupitron and was even present when they performed the song live for the first time on April 17, 2016 at Hoku Topia Hall. Matsumoto described the inspiration for the outfits as “fairies of the digital world”.

With Nichika Yamakawa graduating from high school, Saika Hamada becoming a 2nd year high school student, and Rina Miyakawa becoming a high school student this spring, the members of Cupitron begin new phases of their young lives, much like Tetsuro Hoshino, the hero of Ginga Tetsudo 999. Matsumoto echoed the feelings of new starts in life, sharing how he was determined to not return to his home in Fukuoka when he left for Tokyo to pursue his dreams of becoming a famous mangaka at the young age of 18. Rearrangement of the song was by Bajune Tobeta and Yusuke Nakamura with additional production by tamaki nagomu.

“Ginga Tetsudo 999” will be sold in 3 different versions (Limited Edition with DVD, Regular Type-A, Regular Type-B). The limited edition includes the coupling song “Techno Techno” and the MV for “Ginga Tetsudo 999”. The coupling songs for the other versions are titled “LOVE SCIENCE” (Type-A) and “Ichi Bunkan Dake Yume wo Miru” (Type-B). Cupitron will be having a one-man live titled Galaxy Party at Shibuya WOMB on June 11, 2016 so don’t miss it!
