Ciao Bella Cinquetti Sing a Tribute to Tokyo’s Champs-Élysées in the MV for “Omotesando”!

Ciao Bella Cinquetti (formerly known as THE Possible) has released the MV for “Omotesando”, the first of the 3 songs from their triple A-side single “Never Never Give Up/Omotesando/Futakotamagawa” (release date: July 8). It will be their first single since moving to PICCOLO TOWN and Up-Front Works, a homecoming of sorts since they had started out as Hello Pro Eggs (now called Hello Pro Kenshuusei). Up-Front Works is part of the Up-Front Group that manages all of Hello! Project and UPUPGIRLS (KARI).

There are scenes of the members walking around the fashionable Omotesando district as they film themselves using selfie sticks and some classic Up-Front style studio shots. It seems that they are trying to be more international since adopting their new Italian name but, if the song is titled “Omotesando” wouldn’t it have made more sense to film the entire MV there? Since this is a triple A-side single, there are still the MVs for Never Never Give Up” and “Futakotamagawa” to look forward to, so stay excited!

“Never Never Give Up/Omotesando/Futakotamagawa” will be released in 6 different versions: a first press limited edition version with a DVD and 5 CD-only regular versions. The 5 different regular versions will include acoustic solo versions of “Omotesando”: Yurika Akiyama (Type-A), Robin Shoko Okada (Type-B), Yuki Goto (Type-C), Aina Hashimoto (Type-D), Kanami Morozuka (Type-E).
